Supervisor Hovde helps Hanover Park Students

Posted Friday, February 22, 2019

On Thursday February 21, Bloomingdale Township Supervisor Michael D. Hovde, Jr., visited the Spring Wood Middle School in Hanover Park to help moderate the Expo for their Gifted Language Arts program. The students gave informative interactive presentations on the media, and were given feedback from the panel. The panel consisted of Supervisor Hovde, Ryan Klassy, from Elgin Community College and Madhu Krishnamurthy, from the Daily Herald.  These outstanding young people demonstrated tools and techniques to identify bias in the news, and how to fact check stories.  Supervisor Hovde was pleased to see such a bright group of students get a chance to speak in front of a group, and they all did a wonderful job!
