| PACE
Bus Service
Pace was formed in 1983 as part of the reorganization
of the Regional Transportation Authority (RTA), and began
service in 1984. Pace is the suburban bus division of the
RTA.
They
have two programs, which offer curb-to-curb services
in DuPage County. They are: ADA Paratransit Service providing
transportation to people with disabilities who meet regional
eligibility criteria; and the Dial-A-Ride Service providing
transportation for senior citizens, persons with disabilities,
and in some cases, to the general public. A new program
has begun in limited areas of the county called; "Ride
DuPage". For general information on Ride DuPage,
please call DuPage County Human Services or Senior Services
at 630-407-6500 . All
trips must be scheduled at least one day in advance.
Bloomingdale Township contracts yearly with Pace, under
the Dial-A-Ride Para Transit Local Share Agreement,
to ensure that this dial-a-ride service is available
in your community. Please call 1-800-713-7445 to
schedule pick up service.
The
following explains how the program works. For additional
information on Pace Passenger Service, or to register a
