Bloomingdale Township Clerk – Sylvia “Chris” Harris

Chris and her family have been Township resident’s since 1968. She is a local businesswoman and has been an activist for more than 20 years. She is a graduate of the Illinois Lincoln Excellence in Public Service series. Prior to her election as Town Clerk in 2001 she served a term as Township Trustee. She has also served as the first woman Chairman of the Du Page County Airport Authority. Other areas of involvement have been as a member of the District #87 Glenbard High School Board of Education as well as citizens groups “We the People” and “Chase”. She is also a member of Roselle, Bloomingdale, Glendale Heights and Carol Stream Chamber of Commerce.
